Your role

As a field-based Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business across multiple sectors.

Your goal will be to develop and close new business whilst providing a first-class service.

You will have experience selling a solution or service and demonstrate success and target achievement in previous roles.

We are looking for a self-driven and motivated sales professional who wants to work for a forward thinking, fast paced business.

Ideally you will be based in the Southeast covering London and the home counties.

You will

  • Generate new business opportunities with prospective clients by targeting all possible opportunities within your area.
  • Promote the EDGE Taxi Accident Management brand by developing and maintaining strong relationships with taxi and private hire operators, fleet owners, and industry stakeholders, actively identifying opportunities to expand our accident management services and increase brand awareness across the sector.
  • Take ownership of the full sales process from generating leads, selling the service, negotiation and closing.
  • Build a strong network of relevant opportunities to deliver against sales targets.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of our service and industry by working closely with our trainers and colleagues.
  • Liaise with referring customers to ensure a smooth and professional handover happens between DAMS and the client
  • Attend events to network and create leads, and generate new business within your area.

Requirements

  • 2 years + field sales experience within a similar role
  • Previous knowledge or experience of the taxi and private hire industry is preferred but not essential, as full training on our products and services will be provided
  • Knowledge of the claims management industry is desirable
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets in business development / new business environment
  • Excellent selling skills built on trust and reliability
  • Proven ability to identify and develop new business
  • Proven understanding of sales tools and how to use them to build and plan for success
  • A full UK Driving
  • Passion for sales
