Week Three: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun.

Responsibilities
- Supervisory control of maintenance engineers
- Liaise with Engineers in relation to departmental requirements
- Take responsibility for the Engineering Manager and other Engineering shift leaders in their absence
- Conduct a range of engineering activities including fault diagnostics, breakdown cover, equipment installation and general maintenance of all plant and equipment to ensure optimum efficiency
- Support the Engineering Manager with the commissioning of new machinery
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation following repair
- Contribute to focused improvement meetings (FIM) as and when required
- Maintain building fabrication and services
- Conduct scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Work with contractors to ensure specialist machinery is maintained
- Ensure the clean-as-you-go policy is maintained
- Conduct toolbox audits
- Fully cooperate with site management and the workforce
- Report any health and safety hazards within the area
- Take a consistent and fair approach when implementing company policies and procedures
Desired Skills And Experience
- Engineering related qualification or relevant experience in an engineering role ideally within food manufacturing
- Strong technical knowledge and aptitude for both mechanical and electrical engineering
- Competent in working with PLC systems and fault finding on electrical circuits. Ideally 18th Edition qualified
- Sound fault finding ability and a working knowledge of pneumatics and electronics
- Ability to use initiative
- Flexibility
- Good written and oral communication
- Excellent leadership and management skills
