- Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
- Pay: From £13.57 per hour.
- Hours: 10:30 – 19:00.
- Days: Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of all functional demands.
- Ensuring processes and procedures are followed.
- Supporting company efforts to raise quality standards and improve team working and communication.
- Championing health and safety on site, ensuring colleagues work in a safe environment.
- Being commercially aware to help introduce cost reduction measures.
- Monitoring departmental KPIs and ensuring targets are achieved and improved upon.
- Ensuring the business is compliant throughout.
- Auditing the Quality Management System (QMS), processes, GMP, fabrication and hygiene.
- Verification of hygiene standards (ATP, visual, environmental swabbing) and temperature control.
- Verifying key equipment used in the QMS, such as temperature probes, scales, salt analysis.
- Investigating customer complaints, supplier non‑conformances and internal non‑conformances.
- Sample collecting, registration and sensory evaluation testing.
- Providing training and support, where required.
- Creating a food‑safety culture.
- Liaising with support functions, as required, to support the site/business strategy.
- Supporting and answering team queries in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety.
- Working knowledge of computer systems such as Word, Excel, email, PowerPoint and databases.
- Experience of working within a food‑based manufacturing industry.
- Experience of working to food accreditation standards and customer codes of practice.
- Experience of working with diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Internal auditor certification desired.
