As a Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in bringing projects to life—from the initial concept right through to installation. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll create high-quality designs and documentation that ensure products are manufactured accurately, delivered on time, and meet the needs of both our customers and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed, production-ready manufacturing drawings and component lists that support the engineering schedule, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
- Create site layout drawings and clear assembly instructions to help ensure smooth and successful installations.
- Work closely with the production team, providing the information and technical support needed to manufacture products efficiently.
- Look for opportunities to improve our design processes, helping to increase efficiency, quality, and flexibility.
- Follow all relevant standards, quality requirements, and health and safety procedures within your area of responsibility.
- Take an active role in your own learning and development, building your skills while contributing to the success of the team and the business.
Skills and Experience required:
- Previous CAD experience.
- Able to interpret manufacturing drawings.
- Excellent IT skills including Excel and Word and experience within AutoCAD 2014 would be an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with good problem solving skills.
This is a full time, permanent role with a starting salary of £31,800 increasing up to £35k for more experienced Cad Engineers, with additional benefits such as paid sick leave, Life Insurance, Health and well being programmes and flexible work from home options.
