Direct response Employment Services are working with varied clients across the Wiltshire and Somerset areas and we are looking for reliable drivers to cover on-going and Ad-hoc driving work, driving Class 1 or Class 2 Vehicles.
Key responsibilities of a driver:
- Operating a vehicle in accordance with road traffic laws and company safety guidelines.
- Delivery execution: Completing deliveries to various customer locations within a designated area, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Loading and unloading: Loading and securing cargo onto the vehicle, and unloading deliveries at customer premises, potentially requiring manual handling.
- Paperwork management: Completing delivery paperwork, including signature capture and recording delivery details.
- Vehicle checks: Conducting pre-shift vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or defects to the appropriate personnel.
- Compliance with regulations: Adhering to driving hours regulations and tachograph usage.
You will have prior experience of driving a class 1 or a class 2 vehicle along with having at least 6 months commercial driving experience and be aged over 25 years with no more than 6 points on your licence for insurance purposes. You must have held your license for at least 1 year and have a valid Digi Card and CPC in place. Various start times available so please get in touch for a further chat.
