Join a Bakery That Takes Pride in Great Bread! We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head Baker to lead our night shift team in a fast-paced artisan bakery environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled baker who loves quality products, enjoys leading people, and wants to play a key role in a growing bakery operation. You’ll work alongside the Production Manager to deliver exceptional breads and pastries while building a positive, high-performing team culture. What You’ll Be Doing * Lead, train and inspire the night bakery team to consistently deliver outstanding artisan breads and baked goods * Use your expertise in dough handling, shaping, fermentation and baking techniques to maintain exceptional product quality * Work closely with the Production Manager to improve efficiency, consistency and production performance * Support and develop team members through coaching, training and hands-on leadership * Ensure excellent food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times * Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve yields and streamline bakery operations * Organise staffing and production flow to ensure smooth and efficient night shift running * Maintain high standards across the bakery and ensure audit readiness What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as a senior or head baker within an artisan or high-volume bakery * Strong knowledge of bread production, fermentation, proofing and baking processes * Confident leadership skills with experience managing and motivating bakery teams * Passion for artisan baking and producing high-quality products * Excellent organisation and time management skills in a fast-paced environment * Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety regulations * Reliable, hands-on and committed to maintaining high standards every day Hours: 45 hours per week – Any 5 days out of 7 Shift: 17:00-02:00 Why Join Us? * Competitive salary * Opportunity to lead a skilled bakery team * Career development and progression opportunities * Supportive and passionate working environment * Be part of a bakery focused on quality, craftsmanship and continuous improvement * Fresh bread daily to take home to enjoy with family and friends. * 50% discount * 28 days holiday * Discounts and Savings from high-street retailers and restaurants * 24-hour GP service * Cycle to work scheme If you’re a talented baker ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
