Direct Recruitment Services have a new opportunity for a skilled Transport Coordinator to join our long-established client, based in Preston.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar position working within a busy transport office. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating transport activities to ensure efficient operations throughout the night.
Annual Salary – £30k – £32k
*NIGHT SHIFT – 4 ON / 4 OFF*
Hours – 19:00 – 07:00

Duties
- Despatch & Brief/loads
- Ensure EU driver legislation is adhered to.
- Provide updates on collections & deliveries to the client
- Data Input and use of computer systems,
- Making bookings in for deliveries to customers
- Updating customers with delivery detail in real time
- Assorted general administrative tasks.
Experience
- Transport Planning / Operational background preferred
- Knowledge of driver legislation
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible attitude to working hours
- Good organisational, task management, and prioritisation skills.
- Team player
- Ability to use initiative & work well under pressure.
- Computer literate in office, excel, outlook etc.
