At Direct Recruitment Services we are currently looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of our regular clients in Preston.
Monday – Friday Days £17.50 PAYE (Rolled Up Hols)
Saturday £21 PAYE (Rolled Up Hols)
Sunday £22 PAYE (Rolled Up Hols)
Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods using C+E Vehicles, ensuring that all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of loads.
Duties
- Operate a lorry in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
- Adhere to all local and national driving regulations, including hours of service requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid in-date C+E licence with 1yr experience of driving C+E vehicles.
- Proven experience as a C+E Driver.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
