Our client, a growing transport company, is opening a brand-new depot in Avonmouth and is looking to appoint an Operations Depot Manager to lead day-to-day operations. For the first 12 months, this will be a solo-working role, with full training provided to support you during the setup and transition phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of a newly opened transport depot
- Manage and maintain one transport route, ensuring efficiency and service standards are met
- Act as the main point of contact for depot operations
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety, and transport regulations
- Manage and liaise with drivers
- Proactively work with customers to resolve issues
About You:
- Proven Depot Management experience is essential
- Background in transport or logistics is preferred
- Comfortable working independently
- Organised, reliable, and operationally focused
- Confident managing day-to-day challenges in a fast-paced environment
