We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Site Welder to join a busy and established team working on site-based fabrication and welding projects. This role would suit a skilled welder who is confident working independently on site, reading drawings, and producing high-quality welds to the required standard.
Duties will include:
- MIG welding on site
- Fabrication and installation of structural and general steelwork
- Welding mild steel to specification
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Measuring, cutting and preparing materials
- Using grinders and other associated fabrication tools
- Carrying out repairs and modifications where required
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times
- Working closely with site supervisors and other trades
Requirements:
- Previous MIG welding experience is essential
- Previous site welding experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good fabrication and measuring skills
- Competent using hand and power tools
- Relevant welding qualifications advantageous
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence desirable
