The Role

We are searching for an experienced Lighting Equipment Technician to join our team at Direct Digital as an Operations Equipment Controller in Park Royal, London.

You will play a key role in all areas of our lighting operations department, including equipment prep, goods‑in and dispatch.

You will also support our transport department with equipment deliveries in company vehicles, as and when required.

This is a permanent, full‑time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

The hours of work are based on an 8‑hour rotational shift pattern, covering our operating hours of 7 am to 7.30 pm.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Accurately pick, prepare, and test a diverse range of lighting products ensuring they meet operational standards.
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload vehicles with minimal supervision, ensuring swift turnaround times to keep our operations running smoothly.
  • Ensure that all items are correctly maintained, function safely, and completed kits are returned to their designated warehouse locations.
  • Proactively communicate with supervisors to address any equipment‑related issues, contributing to a seamless workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized work environment, strictly adhering to safety protocols and contributing to efficient equipment dispatch and accurate inventory management.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Proven experience in an operations role within a warehouse or professional lighting environment.
  • Valid UK driver's license (essential) for the occasional transportation of equipment, a HGV license would be a significant advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and consistently meet tight deadlines.
