I am looking for someone who is reliable, a good communicator and shows dignity and respect towards others. There is no personal care required. You will be supporting a 50-year-old female with wellbeing difficulties. There is a family cat which is very loved, and you must respect and enjoy the company of a cat.
Responsibilities:
Communication
Establish a way for the person to reach out to you if needed when they feel anxious or stressed.
Stay Attentive/Socialisation
Check in with the client and do activities together ie watch a film, read a book, play a game, going to the local library, aqua aerobics, the cinema.
Attend community appointments.
Support with growing own vegetables and herbs.
Encourage Independence
Where possible, encourage independence by setting up the environment to allow them to do things on their own.
Support with washing up, loading and unloading of washing
Drying clothes and making the bed.
Requirements:
Experience: Prior experience in supporting individuals with, mental health, and wellbeing difficulties is essential.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with the client, be patient and encourage.
Reliability and Respect: Demonstrate reliability, dignity, and respect in all interactions.
Driving License and Insurance: Must have a clean driving license and business insurance to enable taking the client out.
DBS Check: The position is subject to a disclosure and barring service.
