Hours: 6 hours per week (Tuesdays and Fridays).
Hourly rate: £20.00 per hour.
Family seeking a self-employed personal assistant to take a young man out in the community for a few hours on Tuesdays and Fridays. Our son is funny and non-verbal. He requires help with most things including personal care and sometimes uses a wheelchair. We already have a small team of self-employed personal assistants; therefore work shadowing can be arranged prior to starting the role. We are happy for you to contact us to discuss the role requirements in more detail if you are interested.
Responsibilities:- Take the young man out in the community for a few hours on Tuesdays and Fridays.
- Assist with personal care and support mobility as needed (wheelchair use).
- Coordinate with the existing small team; shadowing can be arranged prior to starting.
- Previous care experience is welcome but not necessary.
- What matters most is that you are friendly, patient, genuinely caring and able to work on a self-employed basis.
