Overview
Position: Personal Assistant to provide care and support for 16 hours per week.
Location: Hythe, Kent.
Duration: Permanent.
Hours: 16 hours per week; variable shifts including weekends.
Wage: £13.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, assist with domestic duties, and support social activities.
- Assist with mobilities and daily tasks as required, including manual handling in line with noted needs.
- Interact with an emotional support dog as part of the role.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality; be trustworthy, patient, helpful and caring.
- Be able to work on own initiative and stay organized; resourceful and committed.
- Support out in the community while managing wheelchair use and safety considerations.
- Communicate effectively with the employer to ensure needs are met.
Qualifications
- Full driving licence (preferred) and good communication skills.
- Trustworthy, understanding, patient, helpful and caring; discreet and able to work confidentially.
- Physically fit to assist with wheelchair handling and everyday tasks; able to lift chair in and out of car and control the chair as needed.
- Experience in the care working profession preferred; full training will be provided.
- Commitment to professional and respectful care.
