Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.

A little about myself: I am a young girl living in Swansea with ASD and a severe learning disability. I am nonverbal but you will understand me the more time you spend with me. I like cartoons, poems, my iPad and the outdoors. I also like to bake. I would like to be able to go out with my PA to the park, soft play or even the beach. I may not want to go out if it's windy or raining but I am happy to stay in and bake.

Driver required to take me out. Female preferred. Hours of work 6 hours per week and 8 hours a week during school holidays. I would like to go out on a weekend. Rate of pay £13.13.

Essential:

  • Drive to be able to take me out to places I would like to go.
  • Make sure I am always safe.

I’d like support with going out in the community. I will need my PA to:

  • Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Be confident, mature and have patience.
  • Be dependable and arrive on time.
  • Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
  • Be adaptable and flexible.
  • Be supportive but not take over.
  • Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.

Concerning the position: A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
