A little about myself: I’m 8 years old, and I have Autism (ASD) and a Learning Disability (LD). I’m also on the pathway for ADHD. I don’t use words to talk, but I show you what I need through my actions. I’m strong, busy, full of energy, and I love being outside! I need someone to help me explore the world safely. I don’t always understand danger, so I need an adult who can keep me safe when we’re out and about.

Hours of work

  • 4 hours per week on a weekend
  • 10 hours per week during school holidays (Flexible days and times)

Rate of pay

  • £13.13

  • Are vigilant and aware of your surroundings – I need someone who’s always looking out for me
  • You are experienced with children like me – especially those with Autism and Learning Disabilities

  • You are kind and patient – I need someone who understands me, even when I don’t use words

Concerning the position

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
