Personal Assistant – 8 hours per week – St. Clears Area £13.50 per hour
Purpose of Direct Payment
The role supports a 33‑year‑old female in managing her daily life and fostering independence.
Responsibilities include:
- Sort through items in a way appropriate to her needs and pace.
- Clarify clutter, organise retained items, and determine what should be donated, recycled, or discarded.
- Arrange removal of items that no longer belong.
- Show how to manage household chores and encourage confidence in the community.
- Support the employer with encouragement to gain independence.
- Enable the employer to interact socially in their community.
- Provide support while shopping and attending activities of interest.
- Support the employer to develop independent living skills.
- Provide companionship in the employer’s home, including engaging in conversation and providing social interaction.
- Encourage the employer to attend appointments.
- Ensure the employer’s safety at all times during working hours.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested during working hours.
- Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act.
- Be mindful of safeguarding issues and feedback any concerns to Carmarthenshire County Council immediately on (01267 228751).
- Contact the GP, Social Worker or Local Authority should the employer need medical assistance.
