A lady from Gorslas requires a Relief Personal Assistant to cover any annual leave or SSP and respite hours when arranged. To assist with personal care, dressing, meals and drinks and to access her community and maintain any hobbies and interests.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Support with personal care, meals & drinks when covering for main PA.
- Support the employer to access her community and maintain her hobbies of visiting cinemas, swimming, bowling, arts and crafts and shopping.
- Supporting the employer with encouragement in gaining independence.
- Supporting the employer to develop independent living skills.
- To provide companionship in the employer’s home, including engaging in conversation with them and providing them with social interaction.
- Encouraging the employer to attend appointments.
- Ensuring the employer’s safety at all times during your working hours.
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks that are requested by the employer during your working hours.
- To ensure compliance with Data Protection Act.
- Be mindful of safeguarding issues and feedback any concerns to Carmarthenshire County Council immediately on (01267 228751).
- Be responsible for contacting the GP, Social Worker or Local Authority should the employer need medical assistance.
