Position Title: Preoperative Nurse - Block Booking - Rotherham
Shift Details: Block Booking Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm in Rotherham.
Job Description: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. You will be responsible for providing high‑quality care to patients, monitoring their condition, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including administering medications, treatments and monitoring vital signs.
- Assess patient conditions and provide necessary interventions.
- Collaborate with doctors, healthcare professionals and families to ensure patient well‑being.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Valid Nursing registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) for the UK.
- 12 months recent paid experience completed at ward level within an NHS hospital setting.
- Pre Operative Assessment course completed through pre‑op association or M&K.
- Heart and Lung auscultation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
