Job Title: Registered Nurse -Prison Nurse in Scotland
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, monitoring their condition, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including administering medications, treatments monitoring vital signs.
- Assess patient conditions and provide necessary interventions.
- Collaborate with doctors, healthcare professionals and families to ensure patient well-being.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies within the prison, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
- Security and Safety: Follow all security and safety protocols, ensuring the safety of both staff and inmates.
- Chronic Disease Management: Assist in managing chronic conditions among inmates, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
Requirements:
- Valid Nursing registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) for the UK.
- 12 months recent paid experience completed at ward level within an NHS hospital setting and experience working in a prison setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
