The Role Post: Occupational Health Physician – Private Healthcare (Corporate Caseloads)

Location: London and Home Counties.

Employment: Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities (Minimum 3 days per week)

Working Pattern: Hybrid – Office and Remote, Weekdays Only.

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £120,000 FTE (depending on experience)

What you’ll do:

  • Foster a culture of proactive engagement and strong partnership with corporate clients, working directly with employees and HR teams to embed HCA’s occupational health services.
  • Act as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee health, workplace adjustments, and absence management.
  • Support client engagement through meetings, consultations, and presentations to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage occupational health cases, including triage and absence reviews, with clinical consultations comprising initial appointments (60 minutes) and follow-ups (30 minutes).
  • Produce client reports highlighting activity, risk, and measurable benefits to support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to peer review, audit, and quality assurance, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic employee support.

Essential Requirements:

  • Solid progressive career history in Occupational Health.
  • Qualified to Diploma in Occupational Medicine (DOccMed) or Diploma in Occupational Health Practice (DipOHPrac).
  • Currently practising as an Occupational Health Physician within a corporate setting is essential.
  • Common presentations will include high levels of stress, anxiety, depression, neurodivergent or mental health-related conditions and office-based work-related illnesses and injuries.
  • Experience managing these conditions and working in close partnership with Corporate HR teams is critical.
