The Occupational Health Service requires a Medical Officer ST3+ registered with GMC with a Licence to practice. Candidates should demonstrate appropriate revalidation and medical appraisal history and have completed CT1 CT2, effectively being at ST3 level as a minimum. Experience in Occupational Health is preferable, and a FOM Diploma in Occupational Medicine or higher is also preferable.
Key Duties
- Assessment of sickness absence and general fitness cases to provide a report to the employer.
- Advice on the outcome of health surveillance programmes – depending on level of experience and training.
- Advice on ill health retirement and NICS injury awards – depending on experience and training.
- Advice to other clinical staff and OHS business support staff as required.
