Location: National Treatment Centre - Highland

Grade & Speciality: Consultant Ophthalmology

Dates: Tuesday 16th June 2026 for 12 weeks

Details: The post would be based at the National Treatment Centre-Highland on the Inverness Campus with bimonthly visits to Caithness General Hospital to undertake a 3 day visit. The successful applicant would also participate in the 1:8, 0800 to 2000 hours, 2 tiered on call rota (2nd on call). The postholder should also be able to undertake cataract surgery (minimum of 8 cases on a 3.5 hour operating list).

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid GMC Registration with full Licence to Practice
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Minimum 6 months of medical experience in this role or a similar role within the UK
