About this Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join the clinical team at Causeway Hospital. This role encompasses both anaesthetic and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) responsibilities. The successful candidate must be fully competent in ICU practice and able to work independently in a critical care environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality perioperative and critical care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultant-level anaesthetic services across a broad range of surgical specialties.
  • Deliver perioperative assessment and optimisation of patients.
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff and allied health professionals.
  • Independently manage critically ill patients within the ICU setting.
  • Lead ward rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans.
  • Provide advanced airway management and organ support (including ventilation and haemodynamic management).

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid GMC Registration with full Licence to Practice.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Minimum 6 months of medical experience in this role or a similar role within the UK.
  • FICM suggest minimum of Stage 1 ICM training equivalence.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO USE ENCOMPASS.
