We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Midwife to join our healthcare team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, monitoring their condition, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Antenatal & Postnatal Care: Conduct routine check-ups, provide health education, and support to women and their families.
- Labour & Birth Support: Assist during labour and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
- Emotional & Physical Support: Offer continuous care and support throughout the birthing process.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration with NMC.
- Must have eligibility to work in the UK.
- Triage training and certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Mandatory training including but not exclusive to Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (desirable), Safety Intervention training (formerly MAPA can be supplied by Direct Medics).
- Garda Vetting (cost covered by Direct Medics).
- Minimum 12 months post-registration experience.
- Experience in high-acuity environments and familiarity with Irish or UK healthcare systems (HSE/NHS or private).
