The Role: As we continue to expand and evolve, we are seeking a dynamic and organised professional to help us in delivering a diverse range of company events — including recruitment, training, and CSR initiatives — while also supporting wider marketing activities across the organisation.
Job Purpose: The Marketing Officer will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of events that support the business’s recruitment goals, training programmes, employer brand visibility, employee engagement and Social Media responsibilities. This role will also involve supporting with wider marketing activities and plans that enhance engagement with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
Event Management:
- Plan, organise, and deliver a variety of events across the UK and Ireland, including:
- Recruitment Events: Careers fairs, open days, webinars, and university engagements to attract healthcare professionals.
- Training Events: Internal and external CPD sessions and workshops, in collaboration with compliance and recruitment teams.
- Brand & Promotional Events: Exhibitions, conferences, and community initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
- CSR Events: Charity fundraisers, volunteering activities, and corporate giving projects aligned with company values.
- Staff Engagement Events: Annual town hall and other internal staff engagement initiatives.
Event duties:
- Manage all logistics, suppliers and staffing.
- Budget adherence from planning through to delivery.
- Coordinate with internal departments to align event objectives, boost attendance, and maintain clear communication on bookings and schedules.
- Promote upcoming events across digital and traditional channels.
- Represent the company professionally and ensure a high-quality attendee experience.
- Measure success and prepare post-event evaluations and reports.
Marketing & Communications:
- Create and implement marketing campaigns to support events, brand awareness, and recruitment goals.
- Collaborate with the graphic designer to produce digital and print materials (e.g. brochures, social graphics, presentations, flyers); create basic designs independently when required.
- Write engaging content to promote upcoming events and initiatives.
- Support wider marketing activities during peak periods or team cover.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with internal teams (recruitment, compliance, training, senior management) to ensure event and marketing alignment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners including universities, venues, charities, and suppliers.
- Act as the main point of contact for event queries and represent the company onsite.
Person Specification:
- Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a marketing role with the ability to demonstrate a track record of planning and promoting the business via all channels.
- Diploma of Higher Education (or higher) in a relevant field.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing tools.
- Content design and/or video editing skills (e.g. Canva).
- Experience using Marketing, content and event management platforms (e.g. Hubspot, Eventbrite).
- Desirable:
- Knowledge or experience in healthcare, staffing, or professional training industries.
- Adobe design experience.
- Project management qualification and/or experience.
Working Conditions: Full-time role based in Belfast with hybrid working option available post-probation. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for events. Occasional travel across the UK and Ireland as needed.
