We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Midwife to join our healthcare team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, monitoring their condition, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Antenatal & Postnatal Care: Conduct routine check-ups, provide health education, and support to women and their families.
  • Labour & Birth Support: Assist during labour and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
  • Emotional & Physical Support: Offer continuous care and support throughout the birthing process.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration with NMC.
  • Must have eligibility to work in UK.
  • Triage training and certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Mandatory training including but not exclusive to Current Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (desirable), Safety Intervention training (formerly MAPA can be supplied by Direct Medics).
  • Garda Vetting (cost covered by Direct Medics).
  • Minimum 12 months post-registration experience.
  • Experience in high-acuity environments and familiarity with Irish or UK healthcare systems (HSE/NHS or private).
