About Direct Medics
Direct Medics are working in partnership with a private clinical laboratory in Belfast to find a skilled Biomedical Scientist (Biochemistry). The role involves performing biochemical analyses, developing and validating assays, and supporting both clinical and research projects. You’ll contribute to routine diagnostics and investigative work, helping to improve patient care through a high-quality laboratory service.
Permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform biochemical analyses, develop and validate assays, and support clinical and research projects as part of routine diagnostics and investigative work.
Qualifications
- BSc in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field
- HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist
- 2+ years lab experience, preferably clinical/private
- Proficient in biochemical techniques and instruments
- Knowledge of UK lab standards (e.g. UKAS, ISO 15189)
- Understanding of COSHH regulations
