The Role: The Systems Trainer will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of systems-focused training across the organisation. This role is responsible for end-to-end training provision—ensuring that employees are effectively onboarded, continuously upskilled, and confident in using core business systems. A key focus will be translating complex processes and technical concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand learning experiences that drive performance and adoption.

  • Training Strategy & Delivery: Develop, design and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions on the digital systems and applications used across the company. Develop comprehensive training materials and resources tailored to the audience. Manage training schedules and coordinate training sessions to ensure optimal participation and effectiveness. Develop and implement online learning modules for self‑paced training. Lead end-to-end training provision, from needs analysis through to evaluation. Develop and deliver onboarding training for new hires, ensuring rapid systems proficiency. Partner with stakeholders to identify training needs aligned to business objectives. Build structured learning pathways to support continuous upskilling. Provide one‑on‑one support to staff members who require additional assistance beyond standard training sessions. Contribute to the documentation of system processes and procedures to support ongoing learning and knowledge sharing efforts.
  • Instructional Design & Content Creation: Apply adult learning theory to design impactful, learner‑centred experiences. Convert complex technical processes into clear, engaging, and accessible content. Develop blended learning solutions including eLearning, workshops, guides, and videos. Create digital learning using Articulate 360. Ensure all content is consistent, scalable, and aligned to organisational goals and standards. Stay updated on the latest developments in technology and instructional design methodologies to enhance training delivery, particularly in the use of AI in L&D.
  • LMS & Training Operations: Administer and manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation and assignment, user management and onboarding, learning pathways and compliance tracking, and regular, accurate reporting. Curate and maintain high-quality training content libraries. Ensure accurate and timely training assignment across the organisation.
  • Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Design and implement evaluation frameworks to measure training effectiveness. Analyse learner feedback, engagement data, and performance outcomes. Continuously refine training approaches based on insights and business needs. Report on training metrics and ROI to key stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify training needs and develop learning programs to address them. Work closely with IT and operational teams to support system rollouts. Act as a subject matter expert for learning and capability development. Provide guidance to managers on embedding learning into day‑to‑day practice.

Skills & Experience

  • Essential: 5 years’ experience developing and delivering systems training. CIPD Level 5 in Learning & Development (or currently working towards it). End‑to‑end training delivery experience (development, design, delivery, evaluation). Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult education theory. Extensive experience using Articulate 360. Hands‑on experience administering an LMS. Strong in‑person and virtual facilitation skills.
  • Desirable: Experience working with system integrations and APIs. Experience working in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment.
