Job Description:
Direct Medics is working in partnership with an NHS Trust to find an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist Specialist based in the Ilford area, providing a comprehensive specialist Intensive Rehab Service. The ideal candidate will provide independent assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for patients in the community rehab team; equipment reasoning and ordering; use of recognizable outcome measures; and facilitate family meetings.
Locum roles with Direct Medics are a great way to enhance your earning potential while working with some of the most professional and successful Occupational Therapy teams in the country. This role is ideally full-time (Monday – Friday, 08:30-16:30, 37.5 hours per week), but will also consider a minimum of 3 days (22.5 hours), depending on experience. The position is temporary until the end of September 2025 initially.
Requirements:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with professional UK experience
- At least 18 months UK experience in NHS and post-qualification as an Occupational Therapist, preferably within the community and rehab setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK Driver\’s License and access to a car
- Right to live and work in the UK/Ireland
