We are looking for a Consultant Palliative Medicine to cover locum duties at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The role is scheduled from ASAP to 14 August 2026, operating Monday to Friday 08:30‑17:00 with overnight on‑call one weeknight per week and every fourth weekend on‑call (Saturday 09:00‑02:00 and a 48‑hour on‑call period).

Consultants must hold a GMC Specialist Register registration.

Location: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

Grade & Specialty: Consultant Palliative Medicine

Dates: ASAP to 14 August 2026 (initial term)

Rota:

  • Monday to Friday 08:30‑17:00
  • On‑call overnight one weeknight per week
  • Every fourth weekend on‑call (Ward round 09:00‑02:00 on Saturday/Sunday and a 48‑hour on‑call period)

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid GMC registration with full licence to practice
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum six months of medical experience in this role or a similar role within the UK
