About Direct Medics

We have recently celebrated our 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of placing healthcare professionals in locum and permanent roles across both the public and private sectors in the UK and Ireland. Our long-standing reputation speaks to the trust and reliability we’ve built within the healthcare sector.

The Role

We’re looking for a talented GP to join our client looking after their corporate patients in Glasgow. They are the UK's largest private patient GP employer and this is a really exciting opportunity to work with them in Scotland during a period of expansion. As a General Practitioner/Health Screener, you’ll provide comprehensive primary care for an adult population who actively invest in their health – engaging with patients, exploring their medical history, addressing concerns, performing examinations and arranging investigations. You will also provide guidance, prescribe, discuss medical options and deliver expert advice. With our client’s advanced health screenings, you will have time for important lifestyle and coaching conversations and extend appointment times to explore patients’ goals, support behaviour change, and develop actionable health plans. You will also be expected to perform procedures such as taking bloods, smear tests and ECGs. You’ll have the time to care, the tools to succeed, and the flexibility to enjoy life outside of work with structured pre-booked appointments in office hours. Our GP appointments are 15 minutes and our health screens range from 30 minutes up to 2 hours depending on the type of screening being undertaken.
