This year, we’re proud to celebrate our 25th anniversary, marking a quarter‑century of placing healthcare professionals in locum roles across both the public and private sectors in the UK and Ireland. Our long‑standing reputation speaks to the trust and reliability we’ve built within the healthcare sector. This role is based in Belfast; therefore you will need to reside in NI or Ireland if applying. We are unable to provide visa or relocation support for this role.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional to join an exciting and expanding business. Initially providing daily operational support to existing companies across NI, GB and RoI, the HR Manager will also play a key part in moving the function toward a shared service model that strategically supports the 1‑Experience Group portfolio. The role carries personal responsibility, offering the opportunity to develop as an HR professional and potentially progress into a Group HR role with meaningful contribution to the business.

General
  • Provide operational delivery of core HR functions across all 1‑Experience companies
  • Work with the CPO to build HR functionality across the 1‑Experience Group
  • Work with the CPO to deliver corporate strategies and business plans
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise on HR matters to employees and managers
  • Manage and contribute to key employee lifecycle activities
Policy & Procedure
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are maintained in accordance with current employment law, best practice and relevant jurisdictional requirements
  • Draft new policies and procedures as required, ensuring consistency across companies and divisions as necessary
  • Conduct environmental scanning activities and provide associated updates
Employee Relations
  • Act as point of contact for employees and managers on sensitive ER issues (discipline, grievance, absence, performance management, etc.)
  • Carry out workplace investigations, producing robust reports
  • Participate in ER meetings either as advisory support on process or as chair where necessary
Performance Management
  • Monitor and contribute to the success of HR KPIs
  • Work with the CPO and relevant others to achieve OKRs
  • Work with managers to ensure performance management and a learning culture is embedded throughout the organisation
  • Provide managers with guidance on development and performance improvement plans
HRIS
  • Act as super‑user for the HRIS system/resources
  • Oversee delivery of core HR administration functions: onboarding and exit procedures, document management, reporting, and upkeep of employee information on the HRIS
  • Design and provide regular HR reports and analysis
  • Respond promptly and professionally to any related queries
ISO
  • Lead on design, delivery and maintenance of HR‑related ISO procedures
L&D/Training
  • Work with the Training Director to ensure all mandatory and good‑practice HR training is delivered to relevant staff
  • Design and deliver relevant training interventions and updates as necessary
Management
  • Provide management, leadership and guidance to HR staff
Well‑being/Engagement
  • Play an active role in supporting and leading employee engagement and well‑being initiatives
  • Work with the ESG Manager to develop and implement initiatives for 1‑Experience staff
  • Contribute to CSR and internal initiatives
Culture
  • Help build and maintain a strong organisational culture and promote staff morale
Data
  • Support production of Equality Commission reports
  • Support the DPO with GDPR‑UK/EU related queries and requests
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • At least 2 years’ experience as an HR manager or HR Business Partner within a company of 100+ staff
  • A minimum of either an undergraduate degree, CIPD Level 5 qualification or post‑graduate diploma in HR (or evidence of currently working towards it)
  • Experience delivering shared‑service HR services
  • Experience in providing multi‑site HR support
  • Experience using HRIS
Desirable
  • Experience providing international (non‑UK) HR support
