Job Description
As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership with an NHS Trust to find an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist Specialist who will be based in the Ilford area, providing a comprehensive specialist Intensive Rehab Service. The ideal candidate will provide independent assessment, treatment and discharge planning of patients in the community rehab team; equipment reasoning and ordering, use of recognisable outcome measures and facilitate family meetings.
Locum roles with Direct Medics are a great way of enhancing your earning potential as well as working with some of the most professional and successful Occupational Therapy teams in the country. This role is ideally full time (Monday – Friday, 08:30-16:30, 37.5 hours per week) however will also consider minimum of 3 days (22.5 hours) dependent on experience. Temporary post until end of September 2025 initially.
Requirements
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with Professional UK experience
- 18 months or more UK experience in NHS and post qualification as an Occupational Therapist, preferrably within the community and rehab setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK Drivers License and access to a car
- Right to live and work in the UK/Ireland
