Join us as a Pricing Manager in our Motor Manufacturing Tribe. This role will sit in the Segment Pricing Team and will work collaboratively with teams across Motor Risk and Retail Pricing as well as colleagues in Underwriting Trading and Finance teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Utilising your skills where they are most needed whilst also giving you an opportunity to build and grow the breadth of your expertise.
  • Understanding drivers of portfolio profitability and embedding a consistent assessment of value across risk pricing and underwriting including lifetime value assessments.
  • Conducting the analysis to make sure our models reflect the best view of risk calibration and inflation estimates.
  • Analysing pricing improvement initiatives and ascertaining their value.
  • Developing and maintaining the pricing toolkit for automatic identification of opportunities in claims AvE and market data.
  • Liaising with various stakeholders from across the business to explain the movements and rationale behind the numbers.
  • Identifying opportunities to help the business evolve and enhance existing processes.
  • Day‑to‑day management of 1-2 pricing analysts.

You’ll be part of the risk pricing team within Motor Manufacturing and work alongside a team of experienced colleagues. Between us, we hold a breadth of experience across the industry but we’re always open to new approaches. Our hybrid model offers a best of both worlds approach. When you’ll be in the office depends on your role and team but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.

What you’ll need:

  • General insurance pricing experience preferably in personal lines and across a broad range of functions.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with an ability to consider multiple scenarios, understand the needs and anticipate outcomes for the customers.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Radar and Python.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills with an ability to explain findings to both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • People management experience preferable but not essential.
  • A numerate degree in Mathematics, Statistics or related subjects.
