A fantastic opportunity has become available within DLG Legal Services as a Motability Personal Injury Claims Handler. The role is offered on a 12 Months Fixed Terms Contract basis and will be based at our Leeds office (smart hybrid working).
What you’ll be doing
- Reporting to your Team Leader you will be joining our dedicated Motability RTA team dealing with a mixed caseload of OIC MOJ complex Fast Track claims along with Part 8 Litigated cases.
- You will have the ability to develop your existing experience to litigate on post whiplash reform cases where quantum and liability are disputed.
- You will be sympathetic to the needs of your clients to ensure a high quality service is provided and accurate legal advice is given in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- You will work to achieve personal and department wide targets whilst adhering to our service level agreements.
- We will expect you to demonstrate a highly professional manner which reflects the brand’s image and customer ethos of DLG LS department and its values.
- You will support the strategic development of the department and firm by developing high standards and growing the clients’ positive experience through continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
- Fast Track RTA claims handling experience with Personal injury within an insurance company or law firm environment.
- A working knowledge of OIC and MOJ Pre Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules for Personal Injury Claims.
- A working knowledge of Tariff and Non Tariff valuations JC Guidelines for the assessment of general damages in personal injury cases.
- Strong communication skills and able to engage effectively with clients.
- Working towards and achieving defined business targets and measures.
- Able to work well under pressure whilst retaining high attention to detail.
Location: Leeds LS1
Home Working: Hybrid model (2 days from the office, 3 days from home)
Working hours: 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
