We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Motor team on a permanent basis. The role is to support the development of the pricing strategy for Personal Lines through implementation of changes to our rating software, in order to ensure commercial benefit and other business objectives.
Key activities will include:
- Design, build, test and implement approved changes accurately and efficiently to Radar rating software, including change to prices charged and underwriting footprint.
- Engage with key stakeholders within business and technology teams to ensure requirements and timeframes are met, alongside all governance/regulatory outcomes.
- Ensure best practice and up‑to‑date documentation of our rating algorithm and testing processes are maintained, with contribution to ongoing improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the efficiency of the change team and longer‑term pricing delivery capability.
- Identify any risks involved in running our business appropriately for the role.
- Communicate to peers and team managers in a timely manner where you have discovered price, model or data issues, supporting efficient resolution.
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you’ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 50% a week in the office.
What you’ll need:
- Technical expertise and strategic mindset to help us achieve the best outcomes.
- Ability to think tactically, strategically, and creatively to solve problems and drive improvements.
- Effective communication and good teamwork, able to progress work independently but also providing peer review and guidance to others in the team.
- Knowledge of WTW Radar software and experience building, developing and testing algorithms is desirable, alongside general software development experience.
- Knowledge and experience of programming languages and software such as SQL, Python, Excel VBA.
- Supporting knowledge of the general insurance market and pricing.
