What you\’ll be doing:
You will be a Pricing Analyst in our Motor Retail Trading team. Reporting into the Motor Retail Trading team, your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the delivery of price optimisation strategies designed to achieve business objectives
Proposing and delivering tactical changes to drive value or mitigate risk to plan
Monitoring performance against plans and supporting deep dive activity in relation to performance anomalies and opportunities
Supporting the financial planning process
Supporting the delivery of pricing in relation to cross-functional initiatives
Ensuring all deliverables are well governed and have all relevant controls in place
Contributing to the continuous improvement of our pricing processes
Helping to establish pricing best practices in the team
Our hybrid model offers a \’best of both worlds\’ approach. When you\’ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office. The office you work from could be any of our locations including London, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow.
What you\’ll need:
We are keen to meet enthusiastic, passionate, and curious individuals who can collaborate effectively with the team and across teams. You will be expected to take ownership and deliver on your commitments. You should also have:
Experience in Retail Pricing and Price Optimisation
Strong understanding of the components of a pricing algorithm
Understanding of key legislation and regulation applying to motor insurance and how this impacts pricing algorithms, models, and customers.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for problem solving
Ability to communicate complex information in a simple way
Experience of Radar, or alternative pricing software
Experience of data manipulation using coding languages, such as SQL or Python.
Experience of statistical and mathematical techniques and proven experience of applying these effectively in General Insurance Pricing
