Pricing and Underwriting is a complex area where data, geospatial information and mathematical models meet; our Pricers and Underwriters reduce risk and help our customers get the best price. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven pricing lead to join our Pet Pricing & Underwriting Team as we grow our brands and offerings.

We’re looking for a Pricing & Underwriting colleague who can influence and shape what we do and deliver great outcomes for customers and the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working in an agile environment, you’ll take charge early, gain new experiences, and positively influence and shape our work to make an impact on customers’ lives.
- Initially supporting the migration of existing products onto a new platform and delivering the updated product suite, data requirements and schema definitions in a cross-group environment.
- Overseeing a migration in a fast-paced setting and developing future products in a new area of the group.
- Collaborating with the Head of Pricing & Underwriting, Pet pricing lead and trading team to deliver underwriting strategy.
- Portfolio management of the Pet Products.
- Assessing underwriting criteria, wordings and emerging risks.
- Enacting and enhancing underwriting controls.
- Liaising with trading teams to deliver strong customer and commercial outcomes.
- Working with claims & operations teams to manage indemnity control.
- Collaborating with pricing & underwriting teams to achieve pricing and underwriting outcomes.
- Handling underwriting referrals.
What You’ll Need
- Experience of managing portfolios in a personal lines insurance product.
- Experience of working in Pet or Medical products is preferable.
- Proven track record of technical underwriting expertise.
- Understanding of relevant insurance regulations & legislation.
- Ability to manage multiple partner schemes/products across various sales channels.
- Great interpersonal skills & stakeholder management, dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of indemnity control.
- Ability to innovate and work in a fast-paced environment with a breadth of initiatives.
- Experience working to budgets and developing business cases for capability enhancement.
