The Projects team is responsible for co-ordinating cross-functional activities within the pricing team, and driving forward cross-team delivery projects. You’ll help to drive forward our capability and delivery across a number of such areas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Holistic team planning and prioritisation.
  • Co-ordination of AvE processes and insights between teams.
  • Facilitation of project work that cuts across teams to ensure delivery.
  • Pricing architecture optimisation including MTA pricing and algorithm design.
  • Regular processes to ensure models and data are continually updated ready for retail modelling and optimisation.
  • Recruitment coordination.
  • Discounting algorithm functionality.
  • Ensuring that appropriate governance processes are followed to ensure we have relevant sign-offs and regulatory compliance checks have been completed.

Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you’ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 50% across the month.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong understanding of the components of pricing algorithms and application of underwriting rules.
  • Understanding of key legislation and regulation applying to motor insurance and how this impacts pricing algorithms, models, customer premiums and experience.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for problem solving.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a simple way.
  • Extensive experience of multivariate modelling, for example in Emblem.
  • Experience of data manipulation using languages, such as SQL or Python.
  • Experience of statistical and mathematical techniques and proven experience of applying these effectively in General Insurance Pricing.
  • Experience in Retail and/or Risk pricing, project work and Radar analysis/implementation.
  • Experience of Radar, or alternative pricing software.
