What you’ll be doing:

As the Media SME within the marketing team, you will consult with brand, Performance and CRM managers to ensure that all media activity is briefed, planned, and executed in the most effective way to deliver the optimum outcomes for DLG across its portfolio of brands and products.

  • Be the voice and go-to authority for all things media related, creating learning and development programmes for the wider marketing team to develop their media skills.
  • Ensure all marketing briefs are translated into media briefs with clear, measurable objectives and oversee the agency response to briefs to ensure they are in line with expectations, delivered on time and within proposed budget.
  • Working alongside the Brand managers, deliver media recommendations to support the annual brand planning process and ad-hoc brand campaigns.
  • Stay up to date with changes in the media landscape by attending events, meetings with media owners and leveraging trade bodies and share emerging opportunities with the wider marketing team.
  • Work with agency trading teams to create opportunities and increase sophistication of planning tools.
  • Work with the Effectiveness, Insight and measurement teams to ensure all media data is provided when needed.
  • Maintain a holistic view of all media activity for the wider marketing team, creating clash management and frequency guardrails to maintain operational efficiencies.

What we’re looking for:

  • You have extensive experience working in a media role either client or agency side.
  • Experience of media agency management and management of multi-million-pound media budgets.
  • Delivering data-driven media campaigns comes as second nature to you.
  • You are not afraid to challenge decisions using sound arguments.
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator with experience presenting strategies and plans to senior stakeholders.

Hours: 35 hours
