Purpose of the Role

Work as part of the Platforms Engineering team to deliver, support, and enhance cloud-based platforms that enable business units across the organisation. The role requires both technical expertise and stakeholder engagement to continuously improve platforms, tooling, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and support cloud platform solutions.
  • Enable users and development teams to build, migrate, and manage applications within the cloud environment.
  • Provide hands-on expertise to ensure infrastructure is automated, secure, and scalable.
  • Support core infrastructure across test and production environments, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
  • Participate in evaluating new technologies and developing new services.

EUS Platform Ownership

  • Manage Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments.
  • Configure and maintain:
    • Connectors and SMTP relay services
    • Security, Compliance & Identity
    • eDiscovery case management, litigation holds, and retention/archive policies
    • Email security and domain management (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DMARC analysis tools)
    • Azure Entra ID tenant configuration and lifecycle management
    • Enterprise applications, SAML SSO, and integrations
    • Conditional Access policy design and enforcement
    • Certificate and secret lifecycle management
    • Hybrid identity via AD Connect (sync health, schema updates, incident resolution)
    • Azure Entra ID B2C / External ID for customer-facing apps

Operations & Engineering

  • Incident management and root cause analysis for messaging outages
  • Monthly patching and change implementation
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts
  • Monitor platform health and collect performance metrics
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive optimisation initiatives

Candidate Profile / Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience with:
    • Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments
    • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
    • Identity and access management
    • Cloud infrastructure and services
  • Experience with incident management and troubleshooting in production environments
  • Knowledge of compliance tools such as eDiscovery and retention policies
  • Familiarity with certificate and secret management
