Pricing and Underwriting is a complicated world, where historical data, geospatial information, and mathematical models meet talented analysts. Pricing our products is a fine line between balancing our business goals and customer needs. That’s why our Pricers and Underwriters are the best of the best. • Conducting the analysis to make sure our models reflect the best view of risk, calibration and inflation estimates.
  • Analysing pricing improvement initiatives and ascertaining their value.
  • Working with the pricing and underwriting teams to further develop the toolkit for automatic identification of opportunities in claims AvE and market data.
  • Support the team lead with comms to various stakeholders from across the business to explain the movements and rationale behind the numbers.
  • Identifying opportunities to help the business evolve and enhance existing processes.

You’ll be part of the risk pricing team within Motor Manufacturing and work alongside a team of experienced colleagues. Between us we hold a breadth of experience across the industry, but we’re always open to new approaches. Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you’ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.

What you’ll need:

  • General insurance pricing experience, preferably in personal lines and across a broad range of functions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to consider multiple scenarios, understand the needs and anticipate outcomes for the customers.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Radar and Python.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, with an ability to explain findings to both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • People management experience preferable, but not essential.
  • A numerate degree in Mathematics, Statistics or related subjects.
