CCM Change Technology Product Owner
Bristol, Doncaster, Leeds or London - Hybrid (2 days a week in the office)
Full Time, Permanent Position
DLG is evolving. Across every part of our business, teams are embracing new opportunities and putting customers at the heart of everything they do. Whether you\'re already part of DLG or thinking about joining us, you\'ll have the chance not only to be recognised for your skills, but also to build on them and be empowered to do your very best.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll take ownership of developing and delivering small change and product features that support wider initiative deliveries across our Channels Platforms. You’ll typically lead a Channels Squad - either operating as a shared service across Value Streams (such as SmartComms or Billing Centre) or focusing on developing and delivering feature capability within a specific Value Stream (for example, Digital or Contact Centre UI change & development). Working closely with Business Owners, Engineering and Architecture leads, you’ll be responsible for turning business outcomes into real solutions and ensuring change is delivered effectively, safely and in line with governance standards.
Plan and manage Squad sprint cycles to deliver multiple initiatives and small change activities simultaneously
Own and prioritise the Squad delivery backlog in line with agreed business and technology priorities
Translate business outcomes into delivery requirements and solution designs, avoiding over-engineering while championing incremental, iterative delivery
Define requirements using agile frameworks such as User Story Mapping, Epics, Features, user story writing and prototyping, while managing JIRA and associated toolsets
Ensure change is successfully delivered through clear User Story definition, effective test coverage and robust deployment planning
Lead and oversee end-to-end Squad delivery cycles, ensuring features are delivered to meet agreed business outcomes
Take ownership of minor platform releases, ensuring they meet governance and quality standards, while supporting the planning and delivery of major releases
Act as the primary point of escalation for the Squad/Platform team, managing key admin activities including time sheeting, cost allocation and release/out-of-hours support
Proactively manage risks and issues, putting in place effective mitigations and escalating in line with programme governance
Our hybrid model offers a \'best of both worlds\' approach. When you\'ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.
What you’ll need
SME understanding of the relevant Channels Platforms ecosystem, with the ability to translate both technical engineering concepts and Business Owner target outcomes into a common language
Practical experience applying Agile delivery frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, large-scale programme delivery) and using associated tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Planview, MSP)
Experience in planning and managing squad delivery backlogs and sprint cycles to deliver business outcomes efficiently
Ability to lead minor and support major platform releases, ensuring adherence to governance, quality standards and deployment plans
Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of balancing competing priorities and driving clarity across business and technical teams
