Overview

Business Improvement Consultant (Full Time, this role may be offered on a permanent or 6 Month Secondment basis)

Leeds, Bristol, Doncaster, Glasgow and London (Hybrid) with some travel to other sites as required

The Role

You will be deployed to business areas and projects, within Claims, to provide expertise in change leadership, methodology and practice. This will include, but is not limited to, overseeing diagnostic activity, problem solving, change delivery, optimisation and benefit realisation, building change capability and knowledge and ensuring the correct governance is being adhered to.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identifying/designing/delivering business change, either independently or as part of wider transformation programmes (including running Proof of concept’s as appropriate)
  • Collaborating across the whole business to ensure all key change activities deliver within timescales, with associated benefits fully realised
  • Support the embedment of change, working with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all change adheres to relevant governance and sign off processes
  • Apply appropriate change methodology and structured problem solving to maximise benefit realisation, ensuring that Customer experience, Conduct, growth, and profitability are considered at every stage
  • Build change capability within areas of the business that you interact with
  • Provide coaching and thought leadership across all hierarchy levels to improve ways of working
  • Work closely with the key support departments including, Learning, Internal Comms, Governance & Customer Interactions, Knowledge Asset & Operational Comms, to ensure specialist services are utilised where required
  • Delivers strong engagement with (and management of) stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of developments within the Change Management field and ensure that appropriate tools and techniques are transferred into your personal development plan

What you’ll need

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of diagnosing issues and delivering solutions.
  • Experience managing or supporting projects across the full lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to empathise with business challenges and translate them into actionable change whilst demonstrating the ability to have a strategic view.
  • Organised and adaptable, able to work across multiple priorities and business areas.
  • Experience within Claims, or a strong understanding of insurance operations, is desirable.

Our hybrid model offers a \’best of both worlds\’ approach. When you\’ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.

Hours: 35 hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)
