In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of data-driven solutions that enhance our pricing and underwriting capability. You’ll support the delivery of analytics from initial exploration through to implementation, working on a mix of well-defined problems and emerging opportunities. Working in an agile environment, you’ll build your experience across a range of analytical techniques, tools, and business contexts. You’ll collaborate with experienced colleagues, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of data science solutions while developing your technical and commercial understanding.

What you'll be doing:

  • Analysing large datasets using tools such as SQL, Python, and Radar to support pricing and underwriting decisions
  • Supporting the development of data assets and models, contributing to improved risk assessment and pricing accuracy
  • Producing clear insights and analysis, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborating with Retail Pricing and Platform teams to support the release of platform and pricing changes
  • Contributing to experiments and analysis, helping to test ideas and quantify their potential impact (with guidance from more senior colleagues)
  • Supporting the delivery of projects, working with more experienced team members to ensure high-quality and timely outcomes

Our hybrid model offers a ‘best of both worlds’ approach. When you’ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 50% of their time in the office.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience using SQL and Python for data analysis
  • Previous experience, or a demonstrable interest, in applying data science techniques to large datasets
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate insights
  • Good communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to explain technical work clearly
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team and contribute to shared outcomes
  • A numerate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related subject
  • Familiarity with insurance or pricing concepts
  • Exposure to tools such as WTW Radar
