Trade Counter Assistant plays a key role in branch performance, they are the face of the company in our trade counters and are there to provide excellent customer service and advise and upsell where required. You will be proactive in attracting new customers to the branch and be dedicated to use and build their knowledge in plumbing and heating, so they are better placed to have great interactions with our customers.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Achieve sales and profit targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to account, trade, retail, and online customers.
- Increase profitability through proactive promotion of additional products.
- Outbound calling to inform our customers and generate additional business.
- Participate in promotional and trade events.
- Ensure optimum incoming call and call-back completion.
- Prompt completion of compliance and training modules via safety cloud.
- Participate in online teams and in-person meetings.
- Maximise stock availability by working closely with branch stock control and ordering directly where required.
- Minimise slow moving and discontinued products through active clearance promotion.
- Ensure products are displayed to highest standard including correct POS and stock rotation for date sensitive products.
- Prompt receiving and put-away of stock.
- Ensure the trade counter is always clean and tidy.
- All cash handling and banking processes followed correctly.
- Opening and closing of premises if designated keyholder.
- Support on Goods in and warehousing when required, including operating the forklift once trained.
You will also be required to work alternate Saturdays.
