Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site CNC Turner role based in Chesterfield. The CNC Turner will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC Turning machines, ensuring precision and accuracy in components. Additional responsibilities include routine machine maintenance, quality inspections, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and collaborating with the production team to meet project deadlines. Knowledge of threading, roughing, finishing and drilling cycles.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC machining, including programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of quality control procedures
- Communication and teamwork skills to collaborate in a production environment
- Previous experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing is advantageous
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Engineering or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to a workshop environment
