Direct Ecology Ltd is a leading Scottish independent ecological consultancy business based in Dunblane in Central Scotland. With a team of over 20 ecologists and two office managers, we specialize in ecological surveys and reporting for development sites including renewable energy schemes (windfarms, solar and hydro-schemes) as well as forestry planting schemes, infrastructure projects, building demolition and conversions, survey and monitoring for peatland sites and other designated sites. Our ecology surveys include habitat survey, licensed survey for bats (including tree climbing), great crested newts, badgers, freshwater pearl mussels, birds, badgers etc., BREEAM assessments, BNG and BEPs, Ecological Clerk of Works services and GIS work.
Role Description
There are opportunities for an Ecologist and Senior Ecologist role located in Dunblane. Initial Interviews will be on Teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Ecological survey skills
- Ecological Clerk of Works (preferable)
- Full driving licence
- Report Writing skills including PEA, EcIA etc
- Project and Staff Management (preferable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with GIS software (desirable)
- Relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field
