Direct Commercial are an award-winning commercial motor insurer entering an exciting period of growth. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, target-driven environment and is eager to make an impact.
The ideal candidate would be:
- An insurance broker with motor experience looking for a change of direction.
- Or, someone with experience working as a BDM within the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers within the North West Area.
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities, driving growth for the business.
- Support the sales process from initial contact through to closing, ensuring the highest standards of service and professionalism.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to provide solutions to meet the unique needs of each Broker.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the market.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance.
- Attend bi-weekly BDM Team Meetings (virtually) and face to face as and when required.
What’s needed to be considered?
- Proven experience in insurance sales, with a good understanding of the fleet market and broker needs.
- A strong passion and drive for new business generation and growth.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and balance multiple priorities effectively and work to deadlines.
- Target-driven with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Cert CII or the willingness to work to achieve this.
- 3 – 4 years\’ prior industry related experience
